不好意思,小弟才疏學淺，想請教各位大大幾題英文文法試題
(出處:王怡華-文法練習1000題)


1.School being over, there were only a ------number of students in the
playground.
(A)little (B)small (C)few (D)short
答案:(B),為何不可選(C)?

2.It is mosquitoes which----malaria.
(A) has caused
(B) causes
(C) cause
(D) is causing
答案:(C),蚊子是第三人稱,動詞用單數,為何不選(B)?

1. a number of已是片語, 故用small修飾number 不然要改

是因為it只是假主詞, 所以真主詞mosquitoes複數型 + cause?

(which..)是mosquitos的關係子句，就算刪掉也是完整句子
應該是這樣
