疑問是這個double 這邊是什麼詞性? 如果是動詞, 應該改為doubling吧? 或者是形容詞?

形容詞放在that前面也很奇怪

因此我選了a.....(正解為B)

另一題, Due to the economic depression, our sales _____ for months, so we are
now in great financial difficulties.
c. had been dropping d. have been dropping.

我了解答案提供d的意義,但為什麼不能以c的觀點來看呢?
