記錄一下心得,順便分享給有興趣轉領域的版友
兩年前發完文,聽到很多不看好的聲音
不外乎 :
工時很長,淘汰率很高 ..
先講結論,我順利完成兩年的 MA program 了 ..
至少在評鑑這一塊是過關了,雖然會不會升官還要等正式確認
但那其實已經不太重要了,我已經在這兩年內收穫滿滿
以一個進公司未滿兩年的菜鳥,MA program 是個超級快車道
相較一般同仁,沒有七八年很難有機會升遷到這位置
MA 的確給了願意努力嘗試的 candidate 一個很不錯的機會
薪水應該是公開資訊了,一進來就差不多年薪百萬 ..
如順利連續兩年都通過考核,會有 30% ~ 50% 的加薪幅度 ..
升上經理後,還可有根據當年度收益的額外的分紅 ..
最重要的是,公司真的花很多心力 & 資源在栽培 MA 上
這些東西都不是你在小公司或是一般職有機會碰到的
說說這兩年我經歷的一些事情
1. 瞭解國際級大公司的高層怎麼做決策
2. 常常有機會跟在業界打滾 30 年以上的資深 banker 請益
3. 跟世界級的顧問公司合作專案
4. 獲得豐厚的待遇
5. 得到很多發揮的舞台,外派去打天下,領 double pay 都是 MA 優先
6. 代表公司出席研討會,得到很多的新資訊
還有太多不能公開說明的好處,這兩年累積的履歷超級扎實 ..
淘汰率高?
事實上真正 fail 的不要說一半,連 1/3 都未必有
反倒是自願離開的比例居多,可能是沒興趣,找到其他頭路或稀奇古怪的原因 ..
所以不要再道聽塗說什麼九成都淘汰
那是特別挑出某些特例來說,我不否認某些單位真的很屎
但用很屎的單位來代表母體,根本不具公信力 ..
工時長?
如果你工作有效率,我相信一天八小時的上班時間並非不可能
至少比起科技業動輒晚上九點後的下班時間
這裡還是正常許多,我通常 19:00 前下班
這樣的工時讓我還可以有時間享受生活
其實你的老闆才是關鍵,若你的老闆都很晚下班,那自然大家都會晚下班
跟 MA 與否其實沒直接關係 ..
接著來說說 people relationship 這一塊
身為 MA,這是一門必修的課題
公司對你的期待 & 給你的待遇就是跟一般員工不一樣
長官同仁都是拿放大鏡在檢視你做的每件事
你能力差,大家不會服你
你能力強不謙虛,別人也不會真心喜歡你,只會陽奉陰違
「木秀於林,風必摧之;堆出於岸,流必湍之;行高於人,衆必非之。」
如何在展現自己的優秀能力時,又能讓眾人心服口服
讓很多比你經驗老道又資深的同仁願意接納你升遷得比他們快
這些都是非常重要且難得的經驗 ..
只有克服這問題,你才是一個真正 qualified 的 MA
回到轉領域這件事本身
唸什麼真的不是重點,好的邏輯分析歸納能力
不論在各行各業我相信都會很有市場
優秀人才是不會被侷限在單一領域的
以上,提供有興趣挑戰 MA program 或是類似的菁英培訓的版友參考
不要去管其他人說什麼,酸言酸語根本沒什麼殺傷力
決定自己想走的路,做就對了 ..
挑戰性越高,征服後的成就感就越大
反正失敗了,也只是代表你勇於嘗試願意踏出 comfort zone
這樣我覺得挺好的 ..
我非常不認同現在這個社會 "公職至上" 的風氣
沉溺於安逸是一種病,它會讓台灣失去該有的活力與競爭力
