the cost of each order (including receiving costs) is $120.
1. What is the optimal order quantity.
2. Assuming that the material must be ordered in 100 metre rolls,
how many orders will be placed per year?
3. Provided that the orders are placed in the quantities calculated
in (2) above, what are the total costs per annum associated with
acquiring and holding stocks of the material?
4. Compare the total costs calculated in (3) above with total costs
associated with the purchse of the materil in:
a.2000 metre lots; and
b.6000 metre lots.
