中階主管的兩難 - 職場

想幫朋友問問,也是最近自己在思考的一件事:中階主管的兩難…
一個努力工作的員工A君,經過好些年奮鬥,好不容易成為該部門的第二把交椅。
原本,A君和B君各自帶領一個團隊,共同向C君報告。
最近組織重整,A君被拔擢為C君接班人,B君被貶為專案負責人之一。
表面上看來,A君和B君之間的戰爭,A軍勝出,A君的表現受到了肯定!
但是,原本管理該部門一半人數的A君,在新的組織裡被架空了,
所有專案負責人直接向C君報告,並無任何人隸屬於A君之下…
(當然原本管理一半人數的B君,管理人數也大大縮水了),
美其名,A君是顧問,是接班人,所有向C君報告的大小事,也需要向A君報告!
但是,不知怎地,我總覺得這不是獎勵,反而是懲罰…
如果說A君是個野心勃勃的下屬,造成C君管理上的困擾,
這樣的安排,我多少可以理解,
但A君一向任勞任怨,盡心盡力,辦好大小事後都會像C君報告的人
(反而是B君比較不受控,常先斬後奏),
就是因為這樣我才擔心,A君該怎麼扮演好新的角色??
努力的中階主管被架空,不努力的中階主管被降職,糊一口飯吃怎麼那麼不容易阿?
難道不進則退是唯一的道路,取代C君是A君的唯一生存之道?
