關於是否算定期契約的提前離職問題 - 離職

我朋友目前是一間公司的員工,從今年五月初簽約到十月底,,職稱是某部門的助理,目前已經跟主管在八月中提了想在九月初離職,主管希望他做完九月,想請問各位這樣的合約算是定期契約嗎?滿三個月了,是不是可以10天前提離職就好,我有查了一下,他工作內容應該不算是非繼續性工作,就一般助理,我不敢確定,他可以以此跟主管要求在他希望的時間離職嗎?還有合約內並無提前離職要賠償金,麻煩回答,謝謝
